The impulse to found this association arose in April 2014 during a study trip with members of the “Peter Hess Klang-Initiative Berlin/Brandenburg” through close contact with the population in the Nepalese royal city of Bhaktapur near Kathmandu.
Our experiences on this trip have matured in us the intention to engage ourselves in the future for this wonderful country and the wonderful people in this country. For this purpose we founded the association “CHANCEN – Bildung in Nepal e.V.”. We know that we can only be the famous “drop in the bucket” with our activities related to the whole of Nepal. But for the respective child or young person it is a special life-changing support – as we were able to see directly in April 2014 with the two boys Bijay and Sagar, whom we support since then.
